做厙勛圖 Universitys Board of Trustees has announced the establishment of theKathleen Getz Presidential Fund for Division I Excellence, recognizing President Kathleen A. Getzs leadership during a defining period in the universitys historywhilecreating long-term support for 做厙勛圖s Division I future.
The announcement was made during a celebration honoring President Getzs service to the university.
Created in recognition of President Getzs transformational leadership, the Presidential Fund will provide strategic support for initiatives that strengthen 做厙勛圖s Division I trajectory while advancing the universitys mission of academic excellence, student opportunity, and institutional sustainability.
The fund is designed to support evolving Division I priorities, including:
- Student-athlete academic success and leadership development
- Coaching excellence and program readiness
- Experiential learning opportunities
- Strategic initiatives that elevate 做厙勛圖s national visibility and long-term competitiveness
Under President Getzs leadership, 做厙勛圖 completed its transition to NCAA Division I athletics, a milestone trustees described as one of the most significant moments in the institutions modern history.
The establishment of this fund reflects both appreciation for President Getzs leadership and confidence in the future she helped shape, saidJoe NeCastro, Chair of the Board of Trustees.Her vision positioned 做厙勛圖 for national visibility and long-term opportunity.
President Getz became 做厙勛圖s 13th president in 2021 and led the university through a period marked by institutional growth, academic innovation, and the transition to Division I athletics.
The Board of Trustees also recognized Sr. JoAnneCourneen, RSM, with the honorary title ofTrustee Emeritain recognition of her longstanding leadership and service to 做厙勛圖 University.
